The Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) is a document which provides a list of projects to be initiated within a four year period. The TIP only includes projects for which funding has been identified using current available or anticipated revenues. The TIP is a subset of the Eastern Shore MPO Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP). The TIP must be approved by the MPO, the Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT), and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA). Once approved locally, the TIP is forwarded to the Alabama Department of Transportation where it becomes a part of the Statewide Transportation Improvement Program.
The Final FY24-27 TIP was adopted in September 2023 and may periodically update as projects are approved.
